Born in Denver Colorado in 1939 and have resided there except 1967-1971 when he lived in San Francisco California.

Started studying painting in grade school and switched to photography mid sixties. Owen has been exhibiting in galleries since the late 1980’s and have been represented in Denver by The Ginny Williams Gallery, the Grant Gallery and, most recently. The Robischon Gallery. He was also represented in Seattle by The Silver Image Gallery and have shown at Photography West, The Silver Light Gallery, The Winfield Gallery and PK Fine Artifacts in the Carmel area.

For the last six years Owen has been teaching workshops with Kim Weston both in Carmel and Denver.

Owen has been doing photography and graphic art full time since retiring from a career in intensive care medicine.
